I told Marissa and Joe that I would keep an eye out on the lighting during dinner and once it looked perfect, I would grab them for just another couple of minutes to take portraits. Now onto my favorite time of day at Stone Tower Winery- golden hour!! Thank you to Marissa and Joe, their family and guests, and all the vendors for a wonderful wedding day!! I’m sad it’s over but scrolling through their blog post and reliving it brings a smile to my face!Īll the first looks! Starting off with Marissa’s brother, dad, and then Joe. The rest of the night was filled with dancing and guests enjoying the cigar bar outside. Marissa and Joe, you both are such naturals in front of the camera! I love the way you radiate happiness. I was excited when I had plenty of time during cocktail hour to photograph all of their beautiful reception details.īefore the reception began, we snuck off before golden hour for portraits, and OH MY- Some of my favorite portraits ever. I love this! It slows down the day and gives everyone involved time to take a breath. Marissa and Joe really wanted time to enjoy cocktail hour and their reception so we knocked out all the bridal party portraits before the ceremony. The photo of Marissa giving her besties a thumbs up before walking up to him really says it all- so excited that their day was finally here!!! After their first look, we went to one of the best overlooks at Stone Tower Winery and took portraits!

Joe came over to the cottage for the first look. I think everyone watching was moved to tears as she shared this special moment with her family before seeing Joe! Marissa started off the morning getting ready with her girls in the Bridal Cottage followed by a first look with her brother and dad. I knew no matter what, their wedding day was going to be fun, beautiful, and relaxing. I was grateful to get to sneak the newlyweds away for a few photos in the barrel room too. From the moment we first spoke on the phone, I’ve been waiting for Marissa and Joe’s Stone Tower Winery wedding! They are both incredibly kind and easy-going. Danielle made all of the signs for the day herself – they’re simply beautiful! All of their guests had a great time celebrating the two as they danced the night away. Getting to work with my favorite florist, Petals by the Shore, was definitely a plus! Kelly and her team are absolutely amazing and they brought Danielle’s vision to life! It was elegant – and I loved all of the hints of pumpkins amidst the ivory, burgundy, and gold decor. Stone Tower Winery has a beautiful indoor space for ceremonies, and I love the decorations Danielle and Ben chose.

I was definitely thankful for the first look portrait time we built in!!! It was all worth it because the Blue Ridge Mountains looked fabulous in the background, and all of the fall colors in the flowers and outfits just popped against the vineyard. Providing the perfect balance of rustic charm and sophisticated elegance, begin your life together on a land born from a love of the rolling hills.

It actually rained so badly that day that there were tornados in the area! Crazy. Stone Tower Winery offers a one-of-a-kind setting for an unforgettable wedding. The three of us totally bonded over our love of Charleston and I was so happy when I got to be there on their special day! Stone Tower Winery Wedding Dayĭanielle and Ben’s wedding day actually wound up having a ton of rain, but thanks to the first look they planned, we were able to get outside for some beautiful portraits before the storm.

Plus I absolutely adore Stone Tower Winery and photographing weddings there!!! Danielle and Ben started dating in 2012 and after a surprise Boone Hall Plantation proposal (seriously, the most BEAUTIFUL plantation in Charleston!!!), the two began planning their wedding day. This fall Stone Tower Winery wedding day is one of my favorites! I absolutely love Danielle and Ben and their wedding day was just so beautiful.
